Reassessment Notices and FAQs

Notices of 2025 Real Estate Assessment Change have recently been mailed to all real property owners in Fluvanna County.

The notice contains important information related to what you might expect to pay in real estate taxes this year as well as ways in which you can question or dispute your assessment. The amount of tax due for 2025 shown on the notice is an estimate only and is the amount you would pay if the tax rate is the same as it was in 2024. The Board of Supervisors has not set the tax rate for 2025. The amount of real estate tax that you will owe for 2025 will be determined after the Board of Supervisors sets the tax rate in April. The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on April 9, 2025 in the Fluvanna County Circuit Court to accept public comment regarding the tax rate for tax year 2025. click to continue reading.
