Warren County, Virginia
Established in 1836, Warren County was created from Frederick & Shenandoah Counties.
The County is named after Joseph Warren, Revolutionary War General, who died at the Battle of Bunker Hill.
TOWN
Front Royal
Originally called LeHewtown (after Peter LeHew, a French Huguenot who purchased 200 acres here in 1754), Front Royal was later purchased by a group of real estate speculators who arranged to have it incorporated as
Front Royal on November 15, 1788.
